To complement the i-STAT system for measuring blood gases in the community, we have recently launched a new range of ‘state of the art’ portable spirometers.

The Datospir Micro range of small portable spirometers has the latest technological advances. There are 3 different models available, tailored to the needs of the user. The equipment has different configurations for use both in clinical mode and at home. Connectivity is via a USB port or Bluetooth technologies. They operate with a large number of parameters related to FVC, VC and MVV, and have a pulse oximetry (SpO2) option. There is an acoustic incentive for children and a data base of up to 1000 tests. Finally, two of the models are fitted with graphic touch screens (PDA type), making them easy to use and among the most advanced spirometers on the market.

Spirometry is the single best diagnostic test for patients with suspected COPD.
